In this book, Moses Mukisa gives us a biblical perspective on wealth creation.
The ability to create wealth, as seen in Deuteronomy 8:18, is given to us by God. And it is for the purpose of establishing His covenant which He swore to us through our forefathers, that we would be a blessing to all nations.
Moses Mukisa shares five essential steps we can take in order to create wealth in God’s Kingdom:
-First, we need to acquire wealth by working hard and smart (this is how we receive the wealth that God has already blessed us with in the spiritual realm; work, he says, is a blessing from God, not a curse.)
-Second, we need to manage the wealth well so that we can grow it.
-Third, we grow the wealth through wise investment…
All the while (and these are overlapping steps that take place all through the wealth creation process)…
-Acquiring knowledge so as to renew our minds about wealth—its purpose and the process of its creation (many of us have wrong views about wealth—whether it is good or bad, how to get it, how much of it to have, how to make good use of it, whose it really is, among others).
And, finally…
-Living generously in order to fulfill God’s mission on earth for the wealth He has given us.
For each of these steps Moses gives us guidelines we can use to fulfill them effectively.
In every chapter, Moses employs relevant examples from his own life throughout to appropriately explain points, and uses tables and charts (and other illustrations) to aid us in understanding his message. These tables and charts (and other illustrations) we can also use for our own benefit outside of the book’s confines in our individual quests towards wealth creation. At the end of each chapter he leaves us with questions to ask and answer in order to put into practice what we have learnt.
Moses shares openly about his early financial struggles, his eventual realization of greater financial promise in God, his intentional strides towards sizeable success, plus the key moments of enlightenment in between. From the way he writes you can tell that he is a person who is passionate about kicking the ungodly vice of poverty out of Uganda and out of the world. In simple terms, Moses yearns to usher people into financial freedom.
This book is an easy, fast-paced, well-written read that (I believe), if you choose to heed, will change your life for the better. It will change the way you view and handle your finances. And, in so doing, will transform all the other areas of your life affected by them. It will show you in a number of ways how to access the wealth that God has already blessed you with in Christ.
My first reading of it was mainly for enjoyment. But I intend to dive back into its pages to glean from it wisdom that I can employ in my daily life so that I can see my financial situation change.
