渡辺茂男は、戦後1950年代後半から2000年初頭にかけ、欧米の優れた児童文学や絵本の翻訳と紹介、平行して童話や絵本の創作を精力的におこなった。翻訳と創作を合計すると、生涯に300冊もの子どもの本を出版した。

Used this as my first book at PJ Story Time I had 1 toddler (1 year old?), 1 5 year old and 1 third grader. I decided the first book would be for the toddler since they usually don't last long, and then I would do some older books for the others. This went over quite well. 6/18/13
