Piermont seemed to be the perfect town for Peter and Dani Shelly to start over and fix their marriage. As they settle into life in their new home, a grisly truth is uncovered about the house’s former occupant. Past horrors return and the couple’s second chance is at stake. Peter must make a choice, but an outside influence has other plans.
I enjoyed reading the book. To me, the ending didn’t seem to fit however. The little girl was connected with the lake throughout the story then to find her body in the attic floor was off. Should have been the husbands body, it would have made more sense. Why kill off the brother-in-law. If he had to die, the method could have been better. They could have had a real good fight since Michael had a simmering resentment towards him. Just my opinion.
It kept me guessing and my heart racing. Just when I thought I had it figured out. Part two in the makes? Left me wondering. I’d most definitely say check out this book! So worth it.
Sometimes, a bargain is not a good deal. Young married couple, got a good deal on a house. It had been empty for many years. There is a reason for that.
