amazing for young girls.

A really good story about a young lady discovering women's suffrage and her own beliefs. I can see using this book during a History unit showing the viewpoints of many about suffragettes when it was actually happening. A very easy and likable read. Probably could be used for 5th grade and up.

This book had a big impact on me as a child. I still remember choosing it at my elementary school library, and thinking that I was so grown-up to be reading such a topically significant book! I must have read hundreds of books during my grade school days (one summer I finished nearly a Nancy Drew mystery a day!), but so few of them stuck with me. This one must have been something special.
