Not for fast learners nor right brain thinkers but good for methodical study.
Pros:
Using a metaphor: If this book was a stationary spotlight in a large room and learning German was a statue in the center of that large dark room, this book WILL shed light on one technique of learning German. I'd certainly recommend this book were a group of individuals interested in simultaneous learning of German.
Cons:
It lacks rapid extrapolation of concepts.
It does not have, or I did not see, non-formal learning. All of the learning is regimented. Metaphorically: This is the river cruise version of learning German. It chugs along, it is guided and directed, you never go into a field of bright German words and get to see and experience and play with and learn them.
Evaluation: Good for left brained thinkers who work in structured environments and must have regimented lesson plans. Do NOT adhere to this book.
