As a canine nutritionist specialising in raw feeding I like to read every book I come across regarding the subject.. I was disappointed to see so many innacuracies and bits of dangerous advice that to a new raw feeding wouldn't trigger any kind of warning, and could encourage them into feeling confident with an unsafe method of feeding. The low budget price is reflected in the low budget content. Even the information sources cited at the end are laughable and very few based on actual science. Don't waste your time or money.
I am new to feeding my newly adopted dog raw. I have lost two Westies one after 14 years and the other at 11 years old. We adopted him at 7 years old. I am reading up on and feeding raw because it seems a more natural diet for dogs and recalls on manufactured kibble and other food products are becoming more prevalent. This book was not as basic as I needed and so not highly rated by Me.
