Queen of Flames

Rate this book
What do you do when the life you longed for becomes more than you can bear? When I stepped through the portal into my home realm of Aurelia, I thought I’d finally found happiness. I had a family that supported me, magic that made me feel whole, and a lead on finding the love of my life. I was learning about myself and who I was truly meant to be.

But, Aurelia wasn’t the perfect place I hoped for. There were people who wanted what I had, and would stop at nothing to make sure they got it. They desired to watch the world burn, and wanted to take me down with it. Would I survive it, or would I perish into the flames?

Queen of the Flames was an amazing second installment in the Aurelia Chronicles series. This book stars with Alya stepping into Aurelia with her Mum and the magic starts straight away. We meet her family, both from her Mum's side and her Dad's side. Some are happier to see her than others, of course when they get over the shock of her being alive! Alya turns out to be very powerful, and some will stop at nothing to strip her from her powers. And Brogan, how I love Brogan. He clearly loves Alya and their unborn child very much - he is a perfect partner! I loved reading about the Aurelia and the people and animals and how it differs from Earth.

I'm sad I've finished this book, I didn't want it to end. Bring on book 3!!

This book is exceptional! I read the entire thing in one sitting. From the first page you are drawn into a world full of wonder and magic. Arya is in complete awe as she set foot in her homeland for the first time to meet the family she knew nothing about and hopefully find the love of her life.

The characters are completely captivating you can't help but root for them and loathe any that stand against them. Believe me in this tale there are many on both sides of that divide. I'm so excited to see what will happy next as Arya continues to grow into her powers and discover who she truly is.

"Through pain you find joy. Through sorrow, you find happiness" this quote sums up so many of the emotions you will feel when reading this series

This book was phenomenal. I read it in one day. I seriously couldn't put it down. I laughed, I cried and laughed some more. I actually felt the love of the characters though Rinna words. Well written and absolutely left me wanting more. I felt like I was in the world she created. Highly recommend reading this series. I thought the first book was amazing it just keeps getting better with each book. I love how Brogan and Alya's relationship grows throughout the story and how no matter what they have each others back.

This book was truly remarkable. As the second book in this series, it did not disappoint. I loved reading about how Alya’s Life changed after leaving Earth and traveling to Aurelia. I definitely loved how Alya’s relationship with Brogan processed and all the trials they faced together after her return. This book is truly unique and not just another supernatural story. It held my undivided attention and I cannot wait until the next book in the series comes out.

Seriously Rinna Ford, you are very creatively talented. She’s done it again, another amazing story in which Alya shows her strength. Not just inner but outer strength as well, and as her belly grows so does her magic. Alya goes through a lot in this book and Rinna has made me fall even more in love with her amazing characters. Fantastic read, thank you Rinna and I very much look forward to reading what happens next.

I was looking forward to this sequel, after the first book finished leaving me wanting to know more about Alya, Brogan, Aurelia and their future. Well, it didn't disappoint! Without giving any plot points away, all characters find their strengths in each other andin themselves. I wasn't immediately drawn in, as the beginning was a little slow, but as it went on, I didn't want to leave the world behind! I loved it and can't wait to see what the next book brings!

I am loving this series. Ayla has done a lot of growing up in the book and with that her love of Brogan has grown as well. They are wonderful together. It is quite and bit of action in this one and the steam gets hotter as well. Great story, a few sad moments but thus quite says it all, "Through pain you find joy. Through sorrow you find happiness."

Another great read!!!!

Love the book and how a lot of questions were answered. There are twist and turns and sadness. But it makes the book great. Cannot wait to see what is next from Rinna Ford.

I loved Queen of the Fireflies, the first book in Rinna Ford‘s Aurelia Chronicles and have been waiting eagerly for its sequel in the series. Well, the wait is over, and as for that book2? Well, simply put, Queen of Flames (The Aurelia Chronicles Book 2) is spectacular. Starting with the series’ heroine, Alya’s entry into Aurelia, meeting her family and discovering just how magically powerful she is, this book then proceeds with a wonderfully thrilling adventure with great romantic elements (gotta love Brogan). It’s well written plot is supported by a great cast of characters and does a superb job of advancing the overall story arc. All in all totally great. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

Queen of Flames by Rinna Ford is the sequel to Queen of Fireflies. This book was great, I did not want to put it down once I started reading it. It has magic, romance, treachery, friendship, and much more. Alya and her mother return to Aurelia her home world after finding out she was not from Earth but hiding there from her Uncle to keep them safe. She meets family she never knew she had and is constantly learning more about all the magic she possesses. She is pregnant and is hoping to find Brogan the man she is in love with and the father of her unborn child. Rinna Ford has created strong characters who you want to laugh and cry with. You will not want to put this book down, so if you have not read Queen of Fireflies you need to get it and read it so you can read Queen of Flames! Each book so far is stronger then the one before it and you will not be disappointed. So Rinna please hurry with your next book, I'm looking forward to reading it.

Wow, like seriously wow. I just finished Queen of flames, and it really was amazing, Iwas hooked On this story since the beginning, heck I was hooked from the end of the first book craving more! Although Queen of flames has me sated ... for now, I still crave more already! My heart burst with joy, but also was torn to shreds. The emotions Rinna is able to convey through the story is unreal and amazing. You will feel every high and every low, you'll want to scream, laugh, cry and wish you could jump in the fray. Her writing drags you deeper and deeper with every page. At every turn you were kept guessing, a rollercoaster of emotions. I like that things heated up way more, also giving it a slightly darker twist. Overall I recommend to everybody! my only beef with it is it ended 😂

Good story

It's a good story, but..... I don't think it does the first book justice. It's worth reading, absolutely. I recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet story with an easy plot. The dialogue in this one is stilted. There are elements that were meant to add to the story, but really it did the opposite. I think Alya was an attempt at creating a bad ass character, but she was not. The shocking abilities Alya continued to show were annoying to me. It was not that she had them, by all means, make her a bad ass, but make it count. Have it add to the plot, not to bring something to the table that has zero contribution to the flow. This series? Less is more. Do I plan to read the next book? Sure.

I could not wait to find out how this story continued in a different world. From the moment Alya set foot into Aurelia I was swept up into a fantasy I could not put down. I was riveted to the pages and could not bare to put it down until I flipped to the final one. I love an author that can make that happen.

I could not have imagined the adventure this book took me on! I loved the mind of the author, I so appreciate the second guessing I did trying to figure out the twists and turns of this story.

..... now I wait on book 3!

Book 2

This is the sequel to Queen of the Fireflies. Alya is growing into her powers. She meets a whole lot of new family members. She’s discovering her new world and what her place in it is. There’s lots of love and heartache along the way but she’s a fighter. A small caution to some, It seemed a lot steamier than the first book. Otherwise a very interesting follow up. What will happen next??

a whole new world!

Must read in order to understand. This is trilogy and super easy read. At the end of book one, we learn Aurelia is not human like she thought and must now travel to her real realm. She learns surprising facts about her, including that her father is alive and that she has elemental powers. The flow of the book and plot drives well. The antagonist is more clear and has her own POV which was cool! Awesome read and cant wait to finish the last book! Tears were shed here.

Oh the queen is an evil witch. Not only does she try to kill Alya and her unborn child, twice. She kills Alya’s mother and unleashes Alya’s power. Alya and Brogan finally get married. What should have been the happiest day of her life, ends in tragedy. The book ends on a super happy note. Looking forward to reading book three. I bought these books at penned con In 2019 and I haven’t been disaapointed

Flaming hot!

Beautiful follow up to Queen of the Fireflies, Rinna has written another smash novel and I can't wait for the next installment. Magical fairytale without being over the top, and just the right amount of sexy scenes and both very kind and evil characters in this wonderful series. You will love reading this series and come away feeling satisfied!

Fantasy Romance

Ayla has grown stronger in her magic. She is to marry Brogan. Evil is after her . Someone wants her and her baby dead. It will take everything in her power to survive. She deserves her HEA. Hopefully she will get it in the final book.
