This is a fantastic story and shares lessons about so many things: how to manage anger, the idea that our earth can help sustain us if we treat it with respect, the importance of sharing stories and knowledge, the importance of family... A great read!

My class loved this book. We talked about finding our own rocks and telling them our feelings. Several students really like the idea, and will be knowledge keepers passing this idea to others.

An entertaining story and who knows? It may be a great way to help some kids and grownups deal with anger and stress.

Really cute book to help reinforce the idea of emotions and regulating them for young students. Also a good art and ELA (English Language Arts) lesson to use.

Trudy's grandmother taught her how to get her sad and angry feelings to go. A lovely First Nations story with great illustrations.
