Jess is back to bounty hunting in Texas, heading for a town called Huntersville where the next man on his hunt list is purportedly staying around. Before he gets there, he finds four men firing rifles at a young man hiding behind some trees, because they believe him to be a rustler.
Jess stops the men and rescues young Andy and convinces the rancher that he’s innocent. Now, he has Andy following him around since he has no other family left, because the rancher already hung his two brothers.
Before Jess leaves Huntersville, a triple murder is committed in the saloon and witnessed by a working girl named Molly. The hunt pursues, but Jess still has Andy to contend with. After Andy finds a fancy pearl handled Colt in an embossed black leather holster, he puts it on, but has no experience in using it.
Jess continues on the hunt for the four killers, but he still has young Andy under his wing. Andy insists that Jess teaches him the way of the gun, but Jess worries it’ll send the boy on a path of no return or a path straight to hell.

In 1990 Robert J. Thomas was sworn in as the full time mayor for the city of Westland, Michigan. He served twelve years, making him the longest serving mayor in Westland's history.
While he was mayor he wrote his first book titled, How to Run for Local Office, which has now sold over 25,000 copies worldwide.
He has written and published on Kindle, the Jess Williams Westerns series. Retired, he now lives in Mississippi with his wfe Jill.
After saving a young man from being lynched, Williams takes him under his wing to keep him alive. At the same time he is looking for four outlaws who murdered three men in a saloon. Along the way Jesse has to deal with the usual number of gunslingers looking either for revenge or to enhance their reputation.
Better story than some of the recent Williams westerns.
An RJT Western With Jess Williams (76)/On the Road Again
RJT has penned another Jess Williams novel. In this western he is immediately back n the trail after leaving Marshal Bodine and Wildcat in New Mexico Territory. He located four men who have randomly stopped in towns and murdered numerous people. While on the chase he partners up with a sixteen who wants to be a gunman. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
Another excellent Jess Williams novel by this author. As always, this novel provides enjoyable entertainment, lots of action and Jess dispenses plenty justice. It’s very difficult to put down, once you start reading it. I always look forward to the next Jess Williams novel. Yes, I recommend this book to everyone.
This would be a good stand alone book but it’s number 76 in the series and they have got to the point that they are practically all alike. But I’ll probably keep reading just so I don’t miss anything. Jess always seems to find a male companion and does’t seem to go for the females.
As usual another great story of the life and times of Jess Williams. As usual can't wait for the next book.Would highly recommend this series to all that enjoys a great western story.

As usual, another great Western from Thomas. Jess continues to hunt the very worst criminals and end their lives. Looking forward to reading number 77 when published. I highly recommend this author.
Jess saved A 16 year old boy and takes him with him chasing four bad men. Andy helps Jess catch them. Jess gets him a job and share some of the bounty with him. Lots of bad men die along the way.
Sure got a lot of guys in this story. But Jess sure gets his man. And he taught a young guy,he didn't want to be a bounty. So on we go toward the next guy. Good luck Jess. JD.
Another good Jess Williams series book. Love the character. This one seemed a little short but still good. Fast passed , good western storey with a soft spot.
