The pages are very thick, and the flaps and moving hands of the clock make it very interactive. Learning to tell time, especially on a traditional clock face, is a very tactile experience, and this colorful, fun book will thoroughly engage children in the process. I’m shocked at the number of 7 or 8 year old students at the school where I am a reading tutor that don’t know how to read the wall clock; and yet analog clocks are everywhere in our daily life! I am reading this book with my 5 year old granddaughter and her clock skills are really improving.

I liked the concept of a children's picture book teaching a young reader how to tell time. This book has the added feature of a clock built into the face of the book. However, I found some of the explanations way too deep for children. I had a hard time following a few!

It's a colorful lift-the-flap book. So there's that.
