This guidebook was given to us as a Christmas gift to help us prepare for our summer honeymoon journey to Japan. This is a great guidebook for people who live a 4-5 star life, and have resources far beyond ours. The suggested hotels, restaurants, and shops are all extremely upscale. The book does note original and unique Japanese architecture, but the only one of serious interest to me was the Tokyo Sky Tree (and we had already planned to go here). It was 2 stars useful for me, but 4 stars for the photography and possible usefulness for someone with an extensive travel budget.
