Had this book as a kid in the eighties and nineties. While I only tried building a few of these, it was a really fun book to look through with my friends and plan our clubhouse.

Awesome codification of forts you know and some great ideas on new unusual fort styles. Also covers related fort accessories: cannons, catapults, and tanks.
