Pomeroy is one of my distant relatives. Wasn't the "greatest book ever," but a good summary from the standpoint of someone close to the the history of the LDS church, but not constrained by the blinders of belief in Joseph Smith and the church.

It wasn't A bad read. You'll get the same information from many other better volumes.
