Lynchberg, VA - October

This is a quick story. It has faith as a focus, and there is a bit of romance. I hope the author eventually finishes this series, but it doesn't seem likely at this point.

Warm and Easy to Read

Karen Kingsbury has been one of my favorite Christian authors and I have tried to read all her books. This one is centered on God, as is her others, but this one involves a young man who in his senior year in high school looking for a big named school in basketball, but after attending college week in his senior year of high school at the Christian college his brother attends, he's rethinking his top school choice, especially after meeting the coach's daughter! It's a heart warming book.

LU, the best!!

I love Liberty University! Several of our young people have attended there. This was a great story that told how special LU is. Years ago they had a program called "Raising Young Timothy's. I was honored to contribute to this amazing program. That was over 30 years ago. What a blessing to see how much the university has grown. Thank you Karen for shedding light on this great school.

The big downside of the story is that you end up paying to read a promo for Liberty University. Now Ms. Kingsbury teaches there as a visiting professor, and all five of her sons have attended there (two are graduates), so of course she isn't going to bash the place. But whether you should pay for a promo is a question you have to decide.

But nevertheless the story is a good one; hopefully she will begin working on the series again and continue what is an interesting story line to come.

KK delivers again with this enchanting short story about one of the adopted Flanigan boys from Haiti. Being a Bible college graduate myself from back in the day, I really enjoyed the descriptions of Liberty University...I really want to visit there! Hoping there will be another installment. Recommend!

A Short Story with a Full Lesson

I chose to read KK's short story because she's one of my favorite Christian fiction authors, because I knew it would have all the elements I would expect from her. She never disappoints! A great storyline, a God honoring message, lessons to apply in one's life. Highly recommend read!

Awesome reminder!

Karen reminds all of us, young AND old, that just because you THINK you have your life mapped out, God's plans may be completely different!!! Listen to that still, small voice - it's God trying to tell you His plans for you!! Don't be afraid to follow His lead! "For I know the plans I have for you...."

bringing me back to Karen Kingsbury

I used to read Karen Kingsbury books as a teen…this was short enough to remind me the good feelings I felt when reading her stories and how
They always bring you back to Jesus. I will be picking up her novels again and propelling my relationship with Jesus on a deeper level once again.

Good quick read

Lovely story love to read the whole story just to see what temptation and firery darts are coming his way. And will Connor play a big role in helping Shawn find his way. Will he really get the girl without his coach kicking off the team?

Definitely a quick read - as a Liberty University Online student and a fan of Karen Kingsbury I was thinking this would be a neat read. I haven't been to the campus yet, but will be doing my intensive in November and look forward to seeing the actual campus.

I love anything Kingsbury. This short inspirational college campus sports centered love story captured my heart because the star athlete wanted to belong. I can't wait to see how their story unfolds. Vienna has her work cut out for her with a loving but over protective dad.

This was a fantastic Contemporary Christian fiction short story. It would be awesome to read more about Shawn and Vienna in the future! I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book, but it did not in any way affect my review. All opinions are my own.

Very short book but definitely got you excited that there might actually be a place on earth like that University that focused on God and all the students had the light of Jesus in their eyes. The world would be a much better place. Great author.

I always enjoy Karen's Writing

This book was of special interest to me since I have a grandson who wants to attend a Christian university when he finishes high school. I enjoyed learning more about the campus and it's values. I also loved the familiar characters from previous books. Short but sweet.

Summary

Loved this book! The way the story moved made me want to see what was going to happen next! Karen Kingsbury has a way of writing that has Christ in every paragraph! I would recommend this to a young student who is either already a Christian or searching for the answer. Great story, can hardly wait to read the rest.
