D.W. Nathan is both a writer and full-time painter and illustrator. He studied art at Monmouth University and Stockton University, the latter from which he earned his degree. A former concept artist for Disney Interactive, D.W. has produced artwork for a number of high profile franchises such as Star Wars, the Avengers and Kingdom Hearts. He spends much of his free time painting and writing in equal measure. He currently lives in New Jersey with his wife, their dog, and children.
The character of this story regards big cities infested with beggars and panhandlers. To him they are vermin that has to be fought. He doesn't give them money, has no understanding for their situation but plays tricks on them. A young man of the street is running away. A mobile phone is in the back pocket of his jeans. But did he really steal the mobile or did someone put it in? I didn't like the morale of this story to be honest. The way the main character acted was disgusting. The author writes well and I rated two other of his stories with the maximum amount of points but this story was not my cup of coffee, sorry, it really got on my nerves.
Wow. D.W. Nathan packs a punch in this short but effective story of one man's view of vermin in his city and how he plans to eradicate it. Definitely will make you take a look at how you view and regard the homeless
