I can't honestly say I "enjoyed" this book. It had a lot of information that many other supplement books do not have. I was hoping for more what's good for you section, instead of wth I'm scared for life! That being said, a lot of the supplements in the beginning i do not and would not take. Information about studies on supplements and different types of cancer and soy were eye opening to me and I learned a lot. I had bariatric surgery and I understand that there's only so much room in one book to touch on that. Per my nutritionist there's a lot in here I take a lot extra of. I would recommend this book, I also enjoy Dr. Mark Moyad's book's but they're world's apart. Add this one to your collection if you love vitamin and supplement book's like I do.
Renowned medical school professor & highly decorated biochemistry teacher gives us his second “Slaying” book, this one critiquing food supplements. The basic approach is very similar to the previous work on foodstuffs. Anyone at any level of education, including medical & nutrition personnel will benefit from the information in this book, and that certainly included an interested lay public. I hope we will all be “slain” again in the near future!
This book blew. My. Mind. It’s such a fascinating read on the supplement industry and truly helps clear the confusion! I can’t wait to get started on the next one about food!
