A nice refresher course in a daily reminder with research prompts, record templates, and more. Genealogists are familiar with many of these ideas, but often forget to go back to them. Everyone gets fixated on the big four sites: Ancestry, Family Search, My Heritage and Find My Past. But what about your local library? Internet Archive? Amy Johnson Crow is there to urge and sometimes, push, you to revisit these sites, look at your existing research again, and more. A good bargain for the kindle edition. Lots of links to further your research.

Ok book

I think this is an ok book but some people like m e can't travel to different places to get information. Most of my older relative s are deceased and so I can't get information that way. The ones still living don't remember much of what there parents or grandparents told them.

How to keep your research on track.

Most of the things discussed in this book are things we were taught when we started researching but over the years many of us got stuck in our own system. Amy reminds us of the many tips and tools we had left behind as we chased the latest shiny thing. This book helps get us back on track.

Excellent “roadmap”for research

Easy to follow advice with a lot of excellent places noted to follow up as you do your research!!! Recommend to beginning researchers, and a shake up for those who are currently working on their research.

I have followed Amy for a while now. She has great tips for improving your genealogy research. Nothing life altering in this book, just good reminders of how to keep you moving forward (or should I say, backward).

A book geared more to beginner genealogists I think, although it did give me a few ideas.
