Trapped outside time in the Dark Dimension since the days of World War II, the Soldier Supreme returns, a mage out of time, to find a world unlike any he has ever known!
I believe the second issue of Soldier Supreme is the last, which sort of makes sense. The ending sort of implied that it’s tying back in with the main plot. Still, I’m almost sad to see it go. It’s been fun seeing these two characters work together as one. There was some amazing artwork in this issue – a lot of multiverse and metaphysical imagery that I’ve come to expect with Doctor Strange, but it was still very nice to see. There were also several laugh out loud, or at least chuckle moments as well. So I’d consider the whole thing a win on the whole. And then there’s the conclusion – that was particularly interesting. It makes sense that these two in particular would come to that realization, I suppose.
This was a neat little lead in to what I assume will be the rest of Infinity Wars (I'm not reading it), but mostly I enjoyed the stuff with Stephen escaping the dark dimension, some great art and play with the comic book format there.
