Allen Parker was an average computer scientist, carving out a life in middle-class suburbia. That is, until he woke up in a woman's body, 400 years in the future. Now he must learn a whole new way to live while keeping the mind system out of the wrong hands.
Capably written, especially for a first time author, this book avoids most of the cliches of the body swap type story. Instead of being unlikeable and only interested in sex, as is the cliche, the main character here is sympathetic and likeable, and the focus here is on story and adventure, with the time travel element used in unique ways. If I had any complaint it would be the comparatively lean worldbuilding- descriptions are minimalistic as well. Other than that, this is certainly worth a read!
Refreshingly different. The epic battle between good and evil continues in a different vision of the future than I've ever seen before. I like the fact that the hero isn't a military person and is not part of the Star Force (although they do play a role). He (or she) is just an ordinary person that has to rise to the occasion. If you're into sci-fi or gender bending, definitely worth the read.
LOVED IT. Compelling storytelling and great characters. As an engineer, I would add that the author's approach to time travel is unique, and dare I say... plausible. This book was hard to put down and had me hooked right away. I look forward to the continuation of the story in Backlash. Well Done Hans De Léo, well done.
I really liked it. So glad it ended the way it did. The internal struggle was done perfectly. A few spelling errors. I’m pleasantly surprised and look forward to book 2
