Beryl is one of the very few books I have not been able to put down, from start to finish it had me griped. I look eagerly to the next chapter.

Loved loved loved, I Am Beryl Chronology - In The Beginning, by New Zealand Prophet and Author extraordinaire, Justine Orme. Such a unique concept to follow the path of a gemstone on Lucifer's breastplate as he observes Lucifer's life, his changes, heaven, and God and the angels. There is more than one emotional journey going on here: there's the story of Lucifer and the story of the stones. Great insights into how this part of history could have happened. Maybe it's even revelation.

For Christmas, I think I will be reading it again. Resplendent scenes of glory in heaven, and awesome telling of the creation of earth and man. Get caught up in the action, excitement, grief, turmoil and victories. This is a book you don't want to miss reading. A classic, I think, for years to come.

I couldn't put this book down, I actually read it in instalments as Justine was writing it and I was waiting with bated breath for each 'next instalment'. I love the language and the passion with which this book was written and can't wait for the second book to come out.

I enjoyed this book immensely. I read it cover to cover, over a weekend; easily.

The story just flows superbly, just as a river does; dancing, twinkling, humming, meandering its way along. Revealing intriguing treasure; inviting, beckoning one to open the door, to go further than ones imagination, spirit to Spirit, to enter in and encounter, Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit and Heaven in Heaven; itself.

It was super cool, Holy Spirit giving me the pictures that went with the words; adding to my delight!
What a treat.

Don't you just love the communications from Heaven? - Real or metaphoric, Heaven is reaching out to everyone, through these pages.
Father loves us that much - "You are always and dearly loved by God!"

I have learn't that Father does many things off one chord/string/book and that is what I see in these pages.

I look forward to reading more about beautiful Beryl. She and the other gems are on, my own; Joseph's Coat of many colours, given to me, by Father in Heaven.

Thanks Justine for listening to Jesus. Thank you Jesus, Thank you Father, Thank you Holy Spirit.

There is so much joy from Heaven in this book, despite most of us already knowing the outcome that Lucifer will rise up in pride and be defeated, falling from grace. What we may not have thought about in much depth, and that which Justine calls us to, is to consider the joy of the Genesis creation, 'In the beginning ...' This delight of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, coupled with the glee of the faithful angels, makes this a very unique read, without hitting doctrinal biases but simply marveling in the wonder of creation and the choice we all make, through tests of faith, about which side we are on and Whom we choose to worship. Looks like I've opened up a new genre, and can't wait to read the sequel ...

This book perfectly captures in detail the visual masterpiece of the beginning of the universe from the most unique perspective. You will be blown away by how the author manages to paint a vivid picture of the story of creation and the slow and subtle demise of one of God's most glorious and trusted Angels, definitely a must read!

I've never read a book that gave such insight into what it might have been like in Heaven before Lucifer's pride tripped him up, and he was cast out of Heaven. Seeing the creation from Beryl's perspective was refreshing. Justine really has a creative way of allowing us to see things from a different perspective.
Really worth the read!!

This amazing story captured my interest from the first page and led me straight away into heaven and able to identify Beryl as a living part of the ephod with emotions and clear devotion to GOD. The story is compelling, the tension builds and there is a real sense of great sadness in heaven as the angel of light is flung to earth. The genre of the book was made very clear and so was Beryl who is the main character. I was able to relate to each one of the characters. The part that held my interest the most as a teacher of the Bible was the many bible scriptures beautifully woven into the body of the story. I was compelled to go to the Bible to capture the Bible references and to journalise my own thoughts on each character and what they were experiencing. I believe this inspiring book that has kept faithfully to GOD's word could be used fruitfully in a home Bible study group. The ending was a satisfying one with a sense of expectation that there was more to come. I can highly recommend it to the youth and to the more mature.

This is a fantastic book. Never in my life have I read a book in one day and yet today I ignored all the housework etc and read the entire book in a day! I simply could not put it down. I was drawn in right from the first page. Highly recommended and I cannot wait to read the author's second book.

I loved reading this book. Justine has been hearing from God, and I believe He inspired her to write this book. I Love Beryl is a super sweet but also gripping story: well written, spiritually enriching, uniquely told . . . highly recommend!

Justine Orme is an amazing author. I struggled at first with "in The Beginning" as I am not a religious person, however, the more I read, the more compelled I was to keep reading and couldn't put it down. I loved it!
In reading this as a novel and not 'bash me over the head' religious junk, I could understand and feel the passion of the book.

Wow I really enjoyed In the Beginning (I am Beryl - Book 1).
Justine's understanding of the spiritual realm opens up a whole new way of seeing the creation story.
We are taken behind the scenes with Beryl as his world is turned upside down as Lucifer allows himself to be slowly corrupted by jealousy and blind ambition.
We travel with Beryl from the magnificence and glory of creation to Lucifer’s failed coup and the battle that leads to his banishment from Gods presence.
On the way we see ourselves in Beryl as he struggles with what is happening and Gods apparent lack of knowledge of what is going on in secret, his sense of doom as he thinks that he will also be banished with Lucifer and then his great joy when he is saved.
For those who want the account of creation in Genesis brought to life in vivid colour I highly recommend In the Beginning (I am Beryl - Book 1).

Very hesitant to read a book of this genre.....not my thing. So glad Justine gave me a gentle little push. I found it hard to read the first few pages as I was very uptight, but then something magical happened.......I became immersed in Justine's writing and could not put it down. Everything I knew from my earliest Sunday school and Church experience came back in a totally awesome way. Her use of imagery and word choice is remarkable. I was actually up in heaven with the stones and angels and found myself reading out loud ( something I have never done while alone).
Bravo Justine.....great book....just wish Beryl was a feminine stone.....I thought she/he was all through the book.

A Lovely Jewel of A book ywith a different essence and flavour flowing forth in the tale that unfolds in amazing flare and exciting difference in approach on what has previously being written on this subject
Beryl is certainly a most enjoyable inspirational light read but yet one that is also biblically factual and history wise well researched for those wishing for further enlightenment of what was happening in the Heavens before the creation of the world and in the beginning days - years that followed!

I especially loved this book because of how it gives such a detailed look into what Heaven could look like, but more importantly the understanding of our identity in Christ as it describes the fall of man and the why to every question surrounding that has helped me solidify my identity with my Creator, my Abba!

An easy to read, illuminating book that carefully follows the Bible narrative of creation, but with technicolor, imaginative detail that we may miss when reading the Bible. It’s a beautiful exploration of what might have been going on behind the scenes when God was creating the earth and man. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
