This commentary was difficult to get involved with. After about 100 pages it became quiet interesting. I give it a lower rating because of Ogilvie's treatment of speaking in tongues. The commenary on Act 9 says that "The Lord seldom gives us our life plan all at once. He gives us just enough to help us set our long-range goals in Him and then to walk in obedience each day." He refers to the vital religion of Paul "as being hammered out in the turmoil of the mission field." He stresses that faith is the only basis of salvation and then he refers to the teachings of Christ as a chart for living. "God uses every aspect of our background in the ministry" "The successful communicator can judge his or her effectiveness not only in what happens to those who listen, but through them in the reproduction of their faith in others."
