Our lives are like a tapestry. When you look at the backside of a tapestry, all you see are knots, tangled threads, loose and messy interweaving, and no detail. Often we view our lives from the backside of the tapestry and from this vantage point it’s difficult to see the purpose and beauty in the mundane or when we walk through seasons of suffering. When all you can see is the backside of the tapestry, you can't fully appreciate its beauty. We may never know the purpose or beauty on this side of heaven, but one day we will see the full tapestry in all its glory. Every strand will expose God’s beautiful plan. A Tapestry of Grace is a compilation of stories written by 12 ladies who have shared life together through Side By Side-Pittsburgh, a Bible study geared toward supporting medical spouses. These pages are filled with stories of joy and pain and the redemptive work of Christ. Each story includes reflection questions, a prayer, song lyrics to accompany the topic, and scripture art work. Medical wives will be particularly encouraged by this book but its universal themes can be a source of comfort for women in many walks of life.
