I can’t believe this novel has never been translated into English. It’s bittersweet and heartbreaking yet gentle and warm. Furthermore, the author does a fantastic job of pushing back against the sexist literary criticism she faced during her career through Youwen’s character. One of those novels that changes your life. Will be thinking of this one for years to come.
