Iurii Andropov started a case against one of previously "untouched" people, a member of the Politburo Sh. Rashidov. Gorbachev continued the fight against corruption in the top echelon of the party nomenklatura. The case got a name of "khlopkovoe delo" and was investigated by Gdlian and Ivanov. This book interprets this case as the very first step of so called "Kremlin globalists" towards the liquidation of the socialist system and destruction of the USSR. The book also shows the life of the party nomenklatura behind the scenes.
