Despite its subtitle, the emphasis of this book is on the meaning of each of the names within the primordial genealogies. While this is well-researched and somewhat helpful, Reverend Park draws too much inference (often stated as fact) from his analysis of each of the names.
Some will criticise Reverend Park for taking a very literal view of the ages of these early fathers. This is helpful to understand the view of this very conservative reformed school of theology. Alternate views are not seriously considered. I felt that this book promised more than it delivered.

Knowing about the names of the patriarchs was nice. I am not overlly impressed with how he handles the ages that the patriarchs lived to. I was hoping he could give me something more.
