This book describes Bill Cosby's childhood in Philadelphia through his life to a successful comedian. The book describes the hardships he went through when he was growing up, and also as a new comedian.

I enjoyed the book overall. I liked that it described how he was against racial segregation and selling yourself out. I disliked that the book didn't talk about his children other than their names, and meaning behind them all starting with "E". My favorite part of the book was when he stayed up watching movies, and examining them to see what made those movies so appealing.

I would suggest this book to teenager-older person that is interested in comedy and inspirational people. I say that Bill Cosby is inspirational because he worked hard to achieve all of his goals.
