This is a collection of birth stories from a home birth midwife's perspective. They include all types of births and a wide range of people, beliefs and lifestyles. Each chapter tells how her "job" revolves around being a wife, mother and grandmother. Birth details are used and can sometimes be graphic, but tasteful. There are stories of death and life and all things in between. No names are used, so as to protect the birthing family and their privacy. The book will bring you to tears and also make you laugh.
