A comprehensive read on the subject of csa, while a little outdated in some parts, it reads well and it was ahead of it’s time in 1993 when it was published. This is my first foray into the subject and I’m glad this book was my guide. It offered me a better understanding of the dynamics, the fallout, and the prognosis for the survivors and perpetrators alike. I couldn’t find anything in a way of second editions of the book but I believe that with some minor adjustments to the language it would be an informative and helpful read for helping professionals.

The best on this topic! Sadly sexual abuse destroys so many. Learned so much including "secondary survivors" a must read if sexual abuse has touched your life.

Children with repressed memories of their dark past, came to Jean for help and Jean helped them remember the past their minds chose to forget.

I can never imagine that such humans exist( molesters). I never imagine that they could exist in that almost perfect family...a family friend, a husband, a step-father, a loving mother, a grandfather, a grandmother and a lot more....
