When Rudy enters the class with a world map jigsaw puzzle, the children can’t wait to put it together. They soon learn the importance of knowledge sharing and teamwork. They also learn to locate their favorite places on the world map.
In this sixth installment of the My Teacher Hilda series, children will continue to have fun with the story while learning tricks about solving jigsaw puzzles, the importance of sharing knowledge, the value of teamwork, and the importance of telling the truth. Children will also learn how to draw a family tree.
Appropriate for children ages three to eight years old, this book can be read to them or they can read it by themselves.
It can be so difficult finding age appropriate reading for young readers that is easy to understand, with vibrant illustrations and subtly teaches what being a good friend/person is.

A series of books based around the classroom. They can be read as standalone stories. The characters are consistent throughout the books. I read these stories to my little one at bedtime. The pictures are brightly coloured and she likes looking at the animals (she's only two).
Learning the work map is actually learning the states in America making the title a little confusing (only a few are named). It's about a student who brings a jigsaw to class and the teacher thinks it's a good idea to build it up (the jigsaw is a map of the world). Meanwhile, we have a little one sick from school and the children want to cheer her up. The My teacher Hilda books always give a positive message.
I like these books because they are longer than some of the other Kindle Bedtime reads. The stories follow nicely and they are simple.
4 stars out of 5. I received an ARC via the publisher but I read this book via Kindle Unlimited.
I have been a big fan of this book series. This book exceeded my expectations - it has great pictures, situations to teach preschoolers and kindergarteners. I loved the idea of teaching children to read the map. I wish there were more such books that taught children very naturally.
Its a good one in the series again. Good for children to learn from the pattern set and it will be very nice and enjoying for the toddlers. Keep Going.
‘It’s a world map jigsaw puzzle – Let’s put it together now!”

Tamar took on production coordination as well for the series. Besides writing and production management, Tamar loves the life of an entrepreneur with several small businesses on the side and possibility to travel as much as possible. The person behind the scene of this project is Pawan Mishra, an award-winning author, leader in the technology and finance industries. He completed his education at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He spent the first eighteen years of his life in the small town of Aligarh in India and discovered his love of storytelling, reading, and writing during this time. He now lives in Morrisville, North Carolina.
The book is charming, educational, supports friendship and understanding, and teaches learning in such items as geography and how to make the most of a friendly preschool situation. It is directed toward Preschool, Kindergarten and early childhood education.
The excellent illustrations are by Salome Eqizadhvili - they appear to be extracted from the video series MY TEACHER HILDA. The story is well summarized – We again greet our familiar cast of characters with one exception – Nora broke her leg and is absent and Ms. Hilda explains this to the lass who respond with caring and write a get well card. Rudy is also missing but when Rudy arrives he enters the class with a world map jigsaw puzzle, the children can’t wait to put it together. They soon learn the importance of knowledge sharing and teamwork. They also learn to locate their favorite places on the world map. Children will continue to have fun with the story while learning tricks about solving jigsaw puzzles, the importance of sharing knowledge, the value of teamwork, and the importance of telling the truth. Children will also learn how to draw a family tree. Another very fine children’s book with promises of more to come!
This is book 6 in this wonderful, My Teacher Hilda, series. These books are recommended by me because they are easy to read, will keep your young kiddos interest and because of the great illustrations. The problems are current with the small kiddos. There is a meet the classroom page in the front of the book. Rudy came to school with a jigsaw puzzle with a map of the World. They will mark their favorite places they want to visit. Where would you want to go? Where do they want to go? Listening/reading is the best way to find out. Happy Hunting. I borrowed this book on a Kindle Unlimited website and so can you.
I found the 'lessons' in this book very straight forward. But the book get a bit messy with different story lines intertwining, we have both the world map, visiting Nora and doing family trees all in this one book.
