It is a post apocalyptic future in which survivors lament the old world and struggle to survive in the current one. However, hope is cultivated in the stories of the Chosen who will deliver the survivors from the struggles of their current plight. One man, through his intelligence and technology promises a new world, a New Atlantis in which survivors can thrive and rebuild. Tempting as it may be, a select few question the motives behind this new found paradise and its creator. Should they chance this new life, free of the struggles of a dying world, or does this New Atlantis hide a more sinister motive behind its alluring freedoms.

While having some content issues, the story definitely holds interest and would be enjoyed mostly by the Young Adult crowd with tastes in fantasy and post apocalyptic genres.

In a post apocalyptic world, Jane must fight to protect those she cares about. But who can she trust? I read this novel at a time when the world was in turmoil. And the one thing that I learned was that I cannot abandon hope. A good book when one is unsure of themselves.
