Fifty Years of Pakistan's Economy by Shahrukh Rafi Khan is another excellent treatise on the political economy of Pakistan. Although a bit dated as it covers only the first fifty years of Pakistan’s development experience yet it is a masterly analysis of the issues Pakistan has been facing since its independence in accelerating its rate of growth. Unfortunately, those issues are still with us.
