Since curing the Sickness, my team and I were in high demand. That's why we were in a remote, smoke-filled desert attending a tournament-style Trial to honor the local goddess. Then, some idiot thief with an agenda beyond simple treasure decided to steal the Oracle's third gift, a puzzle band that would grant prophetic visions when solved.
They gave it to the local goddess as an offering. If I wanted it back, I had to enter the blood games, and win.
This is a side adventure set in the Seeds of Chaos world and running concurrently with the end of Book 3, Gods of Myth and Midnight. In other words, it is set before the end of Gods of Myth and Midnight, and is NOT a continuation of the main story-line. It is a novella, and a little over 100 pages.
Gods of Smoke and Stars is the fourth book in the Seeds of Chaos series, a LitRPG/GameLit side adventure novella that combines science fiction and game elements. Fans of Ready Player One, Red Rising, and The Hunger Games will likely enjoy this series.
Azalea Ellis loves to bend the world to her will. Maybe that's why she likes writing books. Creating worlds and people and then sending them through every ordeal imaginable might even give her some kind of sick thrill. Who knows? Azalea is also an artist, so perhaps she just likes taking things from her head and bringing them to life. Because of her artistic background, she's lucky enough to also be able to do all of her own book covers, and does freelance illustration when she feels like it. She's fascinated by almost everything, and wishes she could live to be a thousand, so she would have time to learn and do everything she wants.
While its story shares little with that of the other novels, I enjoyed this one just the same, all the books of this series are criminally underrated. If you are considering it, its a very good one-night read thats easily worth the $3 price.
