Ducks and Diners: Views from Americas Past

Rate this book
24 ready-to-use break-apart postcards with images from the first third of the twentieth century, showing restaurants and cafes, many of them in the shape of a duck or an apple or a coffee pot. Includes data on whether the building remains (or remained, in 1988): the bottle of Ocean Spray Cranberry juice is, alas, gone, but the coffee shop in the shape of a coffee pot was still standing when the book was done. Images from the Curt Teich Company postcards once in possession of the Lake County Historical Museum, now at the Newberry Library
