Read, and to be re-read again and again. Like all of Shulman's books his subject is Reality and how we can awaken to our true place in it. I was fortunate to study with him with this as a textbook -- he offers training on Non Dual Shamanism through the organization he created called A Society of Souls. One of the book's basic concepts, that underlies the possibility of shamanism, is this:

The Universe (or what we call Reality, or God) is one indivisible thing that contains everything. The Universe is made of an unlimited number of specific things -- people, plants, animals, stones, thoughts, emotions, galaxies, atoms, songs, and more -- that are expressions of the the Universe. The Universe needs the individual manifestations in order to exist, and the manifestations could not exist without being part of the Universe. Everything is connected.

In addition to that underlying principle, consider that the Universe is holographic. Every part of the Universe contains the whole Universe which in turn means that Space and Time do not truly separate things. It is from this point that the Shaman can travel on behalf of his/her client.

Reading this masterpiece, I felt as though I woke up to life each day. Every word of this book made me savor the nourishing knowledge with great pleasure. It’s an alchemical experience! What a kind gift Jason Shulman offered to the world! 🙏🏻
