Eyna & Nyna were inseparable twin donkeys who enjoyed a happy life with their parents in their small, cozy hut – until one day when the wolves attacked, and ripped their peaceful existence to shreds. As they ran for their lives, Eyna was separated from her sister and her parents. Suddenly, she must find ways to cope with hardship, depend on the kindness of strangers, learn new skills, and adapt to different cultures. An endearing story about a family of donkeys displaced from their peaceful life by aggressive wolves. It explains to children the reality of what it means to become a refugee, posing relevant topics such as forced migration, adapting to a new culture, and accepting help from others.

At the end, it includes helpful discussion questions to foster dialog with your children about resettling… such a pertinent topic in the 2020’s!

Highly recommended for all children.
