Silence: A Novella Based on a True Story
What happens when everything in your world comes crumbling down? Do you give up or fight harder to keep going?
Sheilayne Williams is a mother, wife, entrepreneur, and all around go getter. Her family is her first true love, but on the outside looking in, one would think Sheilayne put her career before them. When the first onset of tragedy strikes, not only does Sheilayne drown herself more into her work, but the almighty bottle becomes her best friend. After experiencing major losses, some of which she blames herself for, Sheilayne feels as if her back is against the wall. She withdraws from family and friends. Silence becomes her refuge.
Though her friends are concerned, they slowly begin to leave her life. In her mind, they were never her friends anyway. Turning to strangers has become the norm for her, feeling that opening up to them, she will not be judged. After a while, even the strangers she confides in seem to slowly back away.
Alone with her thoughts, Sheilayne begins a downward spiral, slipping further from reality. Not having anything left to fight for—or so she feels—taking her life seems like the only option for her. Will Sheilayne escape the dark cloud that has seemed to loom over her for the past year, or will she submit to the Silence once and for all?

Powerful!
My review for this book was so hard. The hardest since I’m posting reviews. But depression is real. Obstacles are thrown at people everyday from every direction..but not everyone is strong enough to face them. And based on a true story...my heart bled! This was a well written and eye opening read. Some may have still said ..this is still not enough to try to commit suicide...but guess what? Everybody’s threshold is different. Not everyone is strong enough... I can personally relate. With that being said, I really enjoyed this book.. it’s a definite must read! Note to author.... THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE AROUND TO GIVE A LISTENING EAR, TO SUPPORT, WITHOUT JUDGEMENT, YOU ARE STRONG..THIS TOO SHALL PASS. YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Thanks for sharing this story...just beautiful!

Keep the Kleenex on deck!!
Ok, usually I cry thug tears... not this time! This time, I was crying those "soaking in my pain, wishing life was better, hurting like an old school extension cord beating" type tears!
Chiiiillleeeeee, I cried even harder when the words "based on a true story" kept crossing my mind!
If you want a book that will put you in your feelings, this is it!
