Elaine, or Lainey, as she prefers, was born in Queens, New York and grew up on Long Island. She graduated from Florida State College in Jacksonville with an Associate of Arts degree. She began her professional writing career in 2014, at the age of 51, with her first novella, Tatiana’s Chance and has since added several books to that series.

Lainey enjoys writing romance, inspiration, and poetry that touch the lives of women. Most of her characters are in the 30-60-year old range and her hope is to remind women that they are beautiful, sensual beings, no matter their age or station in life. Her message to her readers is simply this: Live each day to the fullest! Life is not over at some magical number. We do not have to be relegated to the porch rocking chair or the senior center just because we get our AARP card in the mail. Being old is a state of mind but LIVING bold is also a state of mind. We can each write our own story.

Lainey, is a mother of three daughters and a grandmother. She lives and writes in Florida and is available for speaking/reading engagements. Her books are available on Amazon at www.amazon.com/author/egweeks

When Is The Last Time You Cheered For A Character

I am in tears after reading this story of a couple of reasons. One I am a mother and to deal with what the mom in this story I can feel her pain. My children may not have delt with what hers has, but as a mother it doesn't matter what it is you can relate. Next I have a Lush in my own circle so I understand her pain too. Third I as a believer truly loved that the church was the church it is supposed to be, non judgmental and supportive. Oh E.G Weeks thank you for this story and Please hurry with the next part please.

Everyone has a story to tell, Cameron always struggled in a male body & from a young boy; wore his mother's makeup& clothes.! Something else is missing, saving up money to have a surgery to change his gender.!
Alot of pain, excitement & saving, Lush goes through hell!

What can I say about this book?

It started off good and somewhere after chapter 3 I got lost and so confused. This book was all over the place, one minute it’s coming from the character's point of view which is Lush Aka Cameron. I couldn't understand how he (she) got from living with the mom to all of sudden Lush has a move and now is living the glamour life. I felt like it was two different authors writing this book. This book makes for a terrible read because there is no climax or wow factor in this book. It literally tells different characters' stories but it doesn’t tie in together at all.

Very good

This is a new to me author and I must say I’m impressed! This was a very good book! From beginning to end I was pulled in and did not want to stop reading. This author’s writing style is very different than what I’m used to reading but I absolutely loved it! While reading the book I felt like I was able to connect with Lush! It’s like I could see the scenes play out! I can’t wait to read the next part to this story! I will be reading more of her work!
