This turned out to be excellent for my niece, age 6. She started immediately drawing creatures from nature (she wanted to start with the snail and moved on to the sea-horse, who would have guessed?), then tried some mythological / magical creatures (mermaids _and_ dragons? Yaaay! Thank you, thank you!)

(We also liked the regular household objects, but they held less sway on the youngster.)

Now on to making and drawing stories.
