Some super photographs from The Hulton Picture Library are complemented by some warm and witty quotations from those who kiss and those who are kissed - and they all seem to be enjoying the action!

I'm not too sure that Gene Yasenack has got it completely right with 'Kissing is a means of getting two people so close together that they can't see anything wrong with each other' - for the moment maybe, but long term perhaps not - but the anonymous soul who said/wrote 'Don't wait to know her to kiss her; kiss her and you'll know her better' is nearer the mark.

Possibly a little bit racy, Coco Chanel, when speaking of where to wear perfume, is quoted as saying, 'Wherever one wants to be kissed.' Interesting, and the possibilities seem endless - well, almost endless and certainly exciting! But Robert Zwickey was spot on when he said, 'A thing of no use to one, but prized by two.'

Perhaps the most comical is Chico Marx's quote, 'I wasn't kissing her. I was whispering in her mouth.' Very funny ... but I'd like to see that one used as an excuse!

The overriding feeling that comes out of the book is 'You must remember this, a kiss is still a kiss' (never mind the sigh) as written by Herbert Hupfeld in 'As Time Goes By'.

Overall it is a fun, feel good book.
