This delightful book combines the grace and charm of the past with the convenience and practicality of the present. The intricacies of craft work have been simplified so that, with only a minimal amount of skill, you can produce a wealth of charming articles to decorate the home, for personal use or for gifts. Detailed instructions, patterns, diagrams, and photographs show the steps involved, making the process as easy as possible yet leaving plenty of scope for the individual to add personal touches of design, colour, and decoration. Whether you are looking for a novelty for the kitchen or bathroom, a unique piece of jewellery, an amusing ornament for a child’s room, or an unusual photograph frame, you will find it among these pages, along with dozens of other delights. Touch of Decor will become as much a part of you life as the charming craft ideas in it. Tracy Marsh Craft and Decorating Centre, 94 Wright Street, Adelaide.
For 6 years Tracy taught crafts for TAFE (Technical and Further Education) and owned a fascinating gift and craft shop in an Adelaide suburb. In 1986 she moved into city premises and expanded her business to serve the wholesale trade.
The popularity of Tracy's work, together with her teaching experience, led her to write her first book, "Touch of Nostalgia", which was soon followed by "Touch of Decor". The enormous interest created by those books persuaded her to write "Touch by Bouquet", "The Festive Touch" and "Touch of Christmas." Tracy has also published "The Australian Folk Art Collection".
Tracy Marsh also writes and produces a bi-monthly magazine titled "Craft & Decorating".
