Ghosts, Graves, and Groves

Rate this book
I’ve had many of my fiction readers ask me about turning my weekly blog “Freaky Friday” into a book. But, as I looked at many of my stories, a number of them had links to websites or newspaper articles, so there were copyright issues. I had quite a few of my own stories, but not really enough to create a book. Then, my good friend and paranormal mystery writer, Ophelia Julien, told me that she also had a large selection of personal stories, but not enough for her own book. So, we collaborated and “Ghosts, Graves, and Groves” was born. (Like Dr. Frankenstein yelling, “It’s alive!!!) The name of the book comes from, well, obviously ghost stories, but also Ophelia’s paranormal books always have graves on the cover and my paranormal books always have trees – so we thought “Ghosts, Graves and Groves” represented who we are and what we do. I hope you enjoy this selection of true stories. These are either incidents that happened to us personally or stories that we heard from the people who experienced them.

Collection of Very Short Tales

This book was a collection of short ghost encounter tales both author's have compiled for your reading pleasure. The tales are very short and not very scary. They cover a variety of different types of tales along with some down to earth advice. A good number have been shared by others telling the authors their own encounters. It was a short, quick read. Style wise, I have read many of this type before. It's probably just me, but after reading Tom Slemen 's books, many others don't match up.

Spooky

Great anthology of ghost stories! If you are reading at night in bed, you might start hearing noises, feel like you aren't alone, and the goosebumps start popping. I know that happened to me.

Whilst I love all things Terri Reid, I am disappointed in this book, maybe it is because it is short tales and not a proper story.

Having said that as supernatural and ghosts stories go they are great, so if you are looking for some scary stories this is the one for you.

Interesting ghost stories

I enjoyed reading the host stories in this book. I have also enjoyed fiction by both of these authors. Having had a few paranormal experiences, I am interested in reading of the experiences of others.

Nightmares

I have never had bad dreams from reading books about ghosts, monsters, demons, etc. until reading this book. I screamed myself awake. Other than “Rena’s Miracles” and this book I haven’t read anything by these ladies but I plan on changing that very soon.

Enjoyable light reading

This book is a light compilation of short "as told to" stories. While I don't believe, I felt the authors did and this enhanced the story telling.

Great ghost stories. I still can't bring myself to look out my kitchen window at night!
