This author has written a number of books about computers and devices, systems and networks. I read one about smartphones and really found it helpful so I was confident this book would be great for me to learn by. It is! Everything I have needed to know for home networking. I am computer literate, but did not know the basics of setting up my home network. Will definitely keep this as a reference book in my library! I like the author's style of writing and definitely appreciate the charts and diagrams.
Really useful entry level text to networking, or perhaps a little above entry level. If you’ e come across DNS and Routers allocating IP addresses, but want to understand a little bit more about what it all means then this is the book for you.
For the beginner who has no clue about one thing about networking, this is a fantastic start of knowing the basics and more.
Whether you want to change career fields, receive a promotion, or just want the knowledge of how it all works. It's an easy read. Short and to the point.
I recommend it. 👌
