Leaving a career with the U.S. Forest Service in 1986, Clara Wimberly decided to pursue a lifetime dream of becoming a published writer. She is the mother of three grown children and grandmother to two little girls. She loves American history and her hobbies include cooking, counted cross stitch, herb gardening, traveling, collecting old teapots, and, of course, reading.
Okay this was dud from my oldie stash. I often find myself annoyed when I read h/H who are reporters which is weird because I studied that in uni. But I find their characterization specially in the oldies so annoying. In this we have reporter heroine who thinks she has the credentials to be involved in a case where a serial killer is kidnapping, raping and killing women. The hero is the lead Detective.
We are told he is a casual kind of man and still hasn't dealt with the loss of his wife ten years earlier. The pacing and romance in this was weird. Although I did like the suspense, and the three suspects the author gave us.
