The girls are back for Book #4 of the smart, sexy and heartfelt Company series about friendship, love and a lot of trouble in between. Things come to a head when the pain strikes closer to home. Renee, Danielle, Kayla and Nadine soon realize things are going to get worse before it gets better, but with friendship and prayer all things are possible.
Angie Daniels grew up on the South side of Chicago, Illinois. At a very early age, she spent nights creating soap operas with her younger sister until the two drifted off to sleep. Never did she realize that her longtime dream to become a published author would someday become a reality.
In 1999 Angie decided it was finally time to return to her love of writing. She took a year off to write her first book Intimate Intentions, which started off as a simple romance novel and later escalated into 542 pages of romantic suspense. After two submissions, Angie was offered a four-book contract with Genesis Press and her first book was released in 2001. In 2003, she also signed with BET Arabesque, and Kensington's Dafina imprint in 2004. In 2006, she added Parker Publishing, Aphrodisia and Harlequin Kimani Romance to her list. In 2010 she will release her twentieth novel. Angie currently resides in Missouri.

My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️😓😩☹️😥
My thoughts: 🔖Page 180 of 357 Ch. 24 Renee - This is just a hot mess and I'm nowhere near the background storyline introduced in book 1, they danced around it a bit, but I'm going to finish it. This has 4 POVs but they seem to blend. They can't even decide if it's been 5, 9, or 10 years since events so I'm just going to let it play out and hope it's decent in the end.
This was the least eventual of the series. There aren't enough dudes around since everyone is always in someone else's lane. The background stories change, and we don't spend hardly any time on the storyline they've been dangling from book one. I was already unimpressed but then it picks up a bit only to cliffhanger us, and I'm reading this in January 2024 but they promised us a follow-up in 2022.
Recommend to others: At this point, I'm not sure. It's a great series for hood drama, but it originally was more than that.
The Company Series In the Company of my Sistahs Trouble Loves Company Careful of the Company You Keep Misery & Company

DRAMA 4.0!!!! Daniels revives her popular Company series with best friends Renee, Danielle, Kayla and Nadine “who will drop everything to fight your battles with you”.
Our cast of characters includes a bully turned successful romance writer, a professional online dating matchmaker for a “select clientele”, an acquitted murderer who sells sex toys (who probably is the closest one to normal in this group) and an attorney with a gambling problem.
Renee, the de facto group leader, is called home when her son is shot and the group rallies to offer support while each are dealing with issues of their own. What ensues is a drama-filled attempt to solve the crime and seek retaliation.
Mix drug dealing, murder, adultery, HIV infection, revenge and blackmail with a little romance and you have lots of misery and only your friends to keep you company. This novel contains strong language and graphic content. Fans of the series won’t be disappointed with the resurrection of this foursome, however, new readers may be startled, but once the underlying theme of loyalty and friendship seeps through they will be converts too.
You could laugh loud, sigh and hurt all within 2 paragraphs. Even though it's been a minute between book 3 and this, you catch up on all the characters and their nuances in short order. The ladies a little bit more about themselves and each other. The drama keeps at a good pace. Ms. Daniels keep all the ladies straight especially when it comes to who would have knowledge about a particular event. Flawless execution. Did not want this to end. Read most of Ms. Daniels writings, this is top notch. Happy reading
Angie, Angie, Angie…. This reunion had me all over the place. My girl Renee was back with sassy in your face personality and I just loved it. You had a girl cracking up at some of the scenes. Wanting to cry at others. And encouraging violence in the rest. I was thrilled to see you brought Clayton back for sure and this connection between him and Renee has me cheering for them. This was a spectacular book and I need to know how long I gotta wait for the next one because you know u can’t drop Mama on us and think it’s ok 🤣😳.
The story was decent but there were over 100 typos!! How do I know? I highlighted them starting on page 83 (I didn’t go back and highlight those before) and then counted them when I was done.
I read the ebook so I don’t know if these same typos/grammatical errors/character name errors are in the physical book or not. The ONLY reason I finished it was because it was book 4 in a 4 book series.
The editor and publisher need to be run out of town. So disrespectful to readers.
Where is book 5! This series has me on edge! I have not been able to stop following these crazy women lol! I love the bond and how they are always there for one another. but some of the things they have gotten into...please hurry and drop the next installment so I can see this drama unfold!
Good read, I enjoyed the characters. Danielle"s storyline was predictable, she was selfish and will probably lose her husband for her actions. I recommend this book and hope the next installment is released shortly.
Talk about holding on for dear life. This book had all of the twist and turns of a roller coaster moving on its own. I have enjoyed all of the books in this series. The friendships. The intriguing plot twists. Excellent Excellent Excellent.
Omg, there is so much going on I had to keep reading to find out what was going to happen next! Had a hard time putting it down even 4 books in. I am definitely trying to find book 5 or find out when it’s coming out!
The book kept me intrigued. The ending left me on a cliffhanger. But ohhhhh, the drama!!! Couldn't put the book down. I've read the entire series in chronological order.
I liked this book a little better than the last. I love the sister circle. Always having each others back. It’s a lot of drama and suspense but you just can’t put it down. I give this book 4 stars. The suspense and drama keeps you coming back for more.
