Born in Missouri. Raised in Kansas. Adolescence/young adulthood in Iowa. According to Walter Neft, DOUBLE INDEMNITY (1944), that makes Laura a native Californian (Who now suddenly finds herself in Texas) She writes, quips, muses and laughs about almost anything...almost.

A wonderfully clever book by Laura Becker, who is a new writer to me. Recommended by Amazon on my Kindle as it fits in with my favourite genres of Thrillers, Mysteries and Suspense.
"How I Became a Vengeful, Psycho Killer" fulfilled everything I enjoy in a book and I could not wait to turn each page.

The end is a stroke of genius!

I hope Laura continues to write in the same way, although it will be difficult to match the standard of her debut novel. I would have given 6 stars, if it were possible.

Great Book

5stars all the way! Riveting story! A page turner for sure. Once I started couldn't put it down. WOW! The ending. I never saw that coming. Highly recommend. I smell a sequel. Kudos on great job!

I really enjoyed this book- I generally enjoy books with young adults as main characters, and the first person narrative here worked well. I wasn't sure what to expect when I jumped in, but it was enjoyable and kept me engaged so I was able to finish it quickly- which is always a good measure of how well I like a book. It has a twist at the end- which I didn't see coming. Based on prior reviews I knew there would be a twist, so I was looking for and trying to predict what it would be (which I am normally quite good at if I do say so myself) but the twist here took me completely by surprise. I'm hoping to see more books by Laura that include some of the same characters. Try it- it will surprise you.
