Reading this absurdly long text I realize Patrick Facon is one of the many right wingers born and raised in a comfortable position and dreaming about romantic war time glory. Patrick is a weasel in the nice position of a bureaucrat. His study is so weak he needs to quote others for how long was till the last time France has lost Paris. The section titles are empty: July the 10th myth and reality is just a cross between village journalism and junior high history term paper. Not much about the myth. Not much about the reality either. But much of a hagiography for "le marechal."
