This book was a little unexpected. many of the stories were heart warming and cute, but there were also many stories that ended with the cats death. This caught me off guard and brought many a tear to my eyes. This hidden sadness kept the book from being something that I could not put down, but it didn't stop me from wanting to always read the next story. There are also so many different ways in which the story was written that the reader is constantly switching from a more modern language to a more traditional one. These flaws keep the book from greatness but the good stories are really good and the cat illustrations keep this a fun and interesting read.
