This book is but short, it's not very long, its got poetry in it with rhymes that go wrong. It's by Mrcorbett an english song man, and its got some of his pictures and not any spam. He hopes you take few minutes of your time to have a peek and enjoy its contents that lie ermm beneath. Thirty odd pages, i'm sure it means something!.

Ok yes this is my own first self published book so this is awkward. Obviously I think its amazing and everyone in the world should own a copy but I will try and view it from a readers angle.

"Poetry by Mrcorbett" is a short tome of just over thirty pages, some would say that's more than enough Poetry to put up with!, but as an introduction to the work of this author it's probably best described as ideal.

How to best describe this work, eclectic would be an ideal choice, there are traditional styled poems from yore mixed in with some very surreal wordplay and even a Sonnet makes an appearance!

Intersped with the poetry are some very nice and sometimes quirky photos's which complement the text well, sadly in the Amazon version these are in black and white, though the original Hardback on Blurb is in full colour.

My own favourite poem in the book is the zany take on 1066 featuring "Willy the Conker" a two page romp that would sit well as an introduction to a 1970s Frankie Howerd flick.

All in for a first effort, it's not bad, very definitely best described as a dipped toe in a warm bath, rather than a full on dive into a steaming joyful Jacuzzi!

Right back to me the author, all i can suggest is that you have a free borrow if you have a kindle, it does give you a real taste of my somewhat crazily lyrical style and sometimes very left field ideas which I have since further developed into the books that followed (this came out in 2013).

My other larger poetry books are
Blue Stranger (2015) and Half Past Rhyme (2017) both also available on Amazon as kindle or paperback.
