The narrative is told under the guise of letters and diary entries from Jill to her brother, Jack. Jill and her husband, Chip, are settlers in Rhodesia. This book is a product of its time and will be of interest mainly to those unfamiliar with Rhodesia in the early 20th century. It was a quick read.
