Mistaken: Little Lies, Big Love

Rate this book
Have you ever wanted to be someone else for a day, night, week or a lifetime? Have you ever gotten caught in a teeny tiny lie?

Love–and lust–can make you do some crazy things.

Naughty Lessons by Isabelle Drake

Motivational speaker and personal improvement expert Jaya Vinar is out of control--or so people keep telling her. When her boss pairs her with a handsome personal consultant, things get even more out of control. She wants to scare him off, he wants her in his bed. Only one can win. And neither one is exactly who they’re pretending to be.

Sometimes wild, and rocky, starts lead to even wilder, and happier, endings.

Logos and Lattes by Alexandria Sure

One little lie can change everything.

Paige had every intention of taking her short skirts and second-hand heels to the Windy City, sure she would take the marketing industry by storm. On the day she is fired from her third job, she accidentally stumbles into a golden opportunity with a man she didn’t know she was looking for. But being in the right place at the right time doesn’t make her the right person for the job, or for love.

With one lie, Paige could have everything. Or lose it all.

Walk with You by Holly Halsey Mayes

Dahlia Cohen was born on the wrong side of town–but that didn’t stop her from dreaming about someday escaping to the other side. Suddenly, a case of mistaken identity allows her to live out her fantasy in the company of a well-to-do “Townie” Tristan Maguire.

Can she extend her walk on the rich side into a long-term romance?

Or will her lie cost her the love she longs for?

I enjoyed each story in this collection. I loved the premise of mistaken identities that tie the stories together. Each story showcases the style of the author and I look forward to reading more by each of these authors in the future.
Naughty Lessons centers around a woman who is struggling to find her place in her career. Someone in her office keeps trying to sabotage the motivational speaker and convinces the powers that be she needs a career coach, who may or may not be who he seems.
Logos and Lattes takes one of Ms. Sure's beloved characters and gives Link the closure he wasn't looking for in the form of a woman who can happened to be in the right place at the right time.
Walk With Me follows the unlikely relationship that develops when the dog sitter is mistaken for a young socialite.
Each story ends in an HEA and while short each author has developed their characters in such a way that the reader is pulled into the story and wants more

The stories collected here were fun, sweet, enjoyable reads.

Naughty Lessons by Isabelle Drake

I mostly like Jaya, she comes off a bit flighty, easily distracted at times. Jaya is writing a story, and I found it distracting while trying to connect to her, to be leaving her life to jump into her writings. She does share a connection that keeps you pulled in.

Logos and Lattes by Alexandria Sure

I absolutely LOVE Linc and Paige!! Their story flowed, I felt connected and couldn't get enough. I'd love to have more from them.

Walk With You by Holly Halsey Mayes
